It has recently come to our attention that Micron has communicated plans to exit the NVDIMM-N business. More specifically, they have informed their customers and partners that they will not be continuing their NVDIMM-N roadmap beyond the current \u201cRiver\u201d 16GB and 32GB DDR4 programs.<\/p>\n
We are writing you today to inform you that AgigA Tech (now an Infineon Technologies Company) and Unigen have entered into a development & manufacturing agreement to ensure long-term support of NVDIMM-N \u0003products and technology. Over the last year, our two companies have been closely \u0003collaborating on the \u201cKomodo\u201d NVDIMM-N program, and we are happy to announce that will be releasing samples over the next month. For those customers already using Micron NVDIMMs, Komodo will provide a seamless transition as the controller solution and IP for both were developed by AgigA, and are \u0003compliant to the JEDEC standards. From a black box perspective, the host driver, \u0003controller interface and PowerGEM will all be compatible, requiring no or minimal changes. In addition, by using AgigA\u2019s latest controller design, the backup times and energy \u0003consumption for Komodo will be lower than the equivalent Micron NVDIMMs. And for those interested, encryption will also be \u0003supported.<\/p>\n
